I was listening to an NPR:TED Radio Hour podcast recently entitled "Getting There" and the founder of the Virgin brand Richard Branson was chatting it up about space travel for the public and how his team of engineers actually planned out a future where space travel will be just like commercial airlines today.  Mr. Branson said right now a person can fly from New York to Tokyo in just 40 minutes using near earth orbit!  That's pretty amazing and pretty ambitious considering all of the cut backs on most space programs these days.

This really got my brain fired up thinking how maybe not now but maybe in our near future space travel will be the norm.  I don't think there is much difference between having a million dollars and a billion dollars since money only goes so far but it's nice to see someone who IS a billionaire and is for better or worse using his advantage to pursue an epic goal.  Much of the same can be said for Elon Musk(Paypal, Space X, Tesla) in the same way.
So, give the podcast I mentioned a listen and tell me what you think...cya

Everyday...
is a brand new start in a dogs eyes
anything can happen and yet they don't fear the dawn of a new day
Even when a dog just is repeating the same routine day in and day out...
a dog still finds that spark and joy from whatever it is they are doing!
Lucky dogs know pure joy on a daily basis.
You never see a dog slowly enter a pond but rather jump right in!
A dog can bring joy and companionship to families and total strangers.
A dog can alert us to storms, danger and even diseases!
Most importantly, a dog never aspires to be more than what he or she is; a dog.
I am gratefully fine with that as they have taught me 3 things...
1. Always be a a loyal friend 2. Find something to be excited about daily and 3. ALWAYS jump into joy; NEVER wade into it.

Delicious Chocolate Cocoa Protein Shake

High Protein Chocolate Shake!

So, I aim to keep my body and mind in tip top shape and sometimes I fail lol, but it's important to keep going.  I would like to share some of my recipes I use to help all of you out there who may need some help.  These recipes have worked for me so far so I hope it can do the same for you all enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder(vanilla works also)
1 cup dark chocolate Silk almond milk(again vanilla can be substituted here)
2 tsp nestle cocoa powder
2 cups water

(Optional)
1/3 cup plain greek yogurt
1 tbs peanut or almond butter
2 cups water instead or with milk for a lower calorie drink(the taste WILL suffer)

Directions:
1) Fill shaker bottle(cup of choice) with 2 cups milk first then add your whey protein and cocoa.
2)Mix or shake ingredients well until there are no gross lumps present then just enjoy!

I should really exercise today; do I really have to?

Just a few short years ago I felt this way and i'm not going I still have those few days when I need to change my perspective about exercise to get started.  Most people out in the world start off believing that it's just that physical hurdle they need to overcome when it's the exact opposite!  The mental game that is being plaid by your own minds is most of the battle.  I cannot remember a time I EVER regretted a completed workout but damned if I told myself everything in the books to deter the start of it.

It's not just a physical mind set but mostly a constant mental battle within ones self that takes place everyday and I think it's very illogical and hilarious to be honest.  We are in this nearly constant state of mind that we should at least get up off the couch and move our butts and when we do this strange phenomenon happens called "perspiration" or sweating lol.  I know it's hard from personal experience with knee injuries, shoulder and back pain and I want to tell everyone it DOES get easier.

Just like if you were to stop at your local convenience store everyday; you would most likely get to know a few folks working there.  At first it feels strange, annoying and maybe even a little bit painful but you know what happens when you keep repeating that routine?  It doesn't feel painful or strange or annoying anymore; your use to the repetition and although I am speaking mostly about relationships here I hope you can see the connection it has to other aspects in our lives like exercise, staying in shape but most important just to stay healthy.

If you've read this far than I salute you; reading one guys opinion on the Internet isn't always a good time and I am not officially any kind of author.  I just know what I have had to deal with in my transformation and when I see someone who out there running, cycling, walking, lifting whatever it may be I instantly give respect for the dedication and the little sacrifices they might have made to the betterment of themselves.  -Matthew
